  1. Why I cannot run OurQFace software nor Video Template Editor?
You will need to install Microsoft DirectX 9.0 (or later) system components (runtimes).

  2. Why there is no sound when I play my created video file (By Media Player)?
    You will need to
download and install Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 or later.

  3. Why my created video file is so big?
To create smaller video file, you will need to use both audio and video compressions. Click the [Options] button to select the audio and video compressions. To create smaller video file, the recommended audio compression is "GSM 6.10", while the recommended video compression is "Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V2" or "Microsoft Video 1". However, there may have some distortions to the images of the created video file due to the video compression.

  4. Why there are distortions of the images when I play my created video file?
The distortions are likely due to video compression. To create video file with no distortions, try to use a video template with no video compression, or try to create the video file with no or less video compression. Click the [Options] button to select the video compression. For less or no distortion, the recommended video compression is "(No Compression)" or "MJPEG Compressor". However, the created video file may be big due to the limited video compression.

  5. Why the last few images are not shown when I play my created video file?
OurQFace software output and display information on the last 5 seconds of the images of the created video, just like what you will see when a movie ends. Therefore the last 5 seconds of the images of the video template are not shown. You are therefore advise to add last 5 seconds of extra empty images to your video template, if it is not there.

  6. Why the second and several subsequent images are not shown when I play my created video file?
OurQFace software output and display information on the first 5-second images of the created video file, except the first image. You are therefore advise to keep the first 5-second images of the video template empty, except the first image.

  7. Why the images to the end of the video template are not found in the created video file?
The video file created by the freeware version is limited to a maximum of 127 images. Images beyond 127 images to the end of the video template are therefore not included.

  8. Why the [Create Video] button is sometimes disabled?
Your specified output video file must be writable. Furthermore, the file name must be valid, and no other program must be opening or playing the video file. Please close the program playing the video file if it is so.

  9. Why the size of the created video file is different from the background image?
The size of the created video file follows the size of the video template. The background image will be resized to the size of the video template also.

  10. Why no face is superimposed, or the face is superimposed wrongly?
The face pattern in your video template must be drawn according to the OurQFace Face Pattern Guidelines. Please read through the
OurQFace Face Pattern Guidelines before drawing the face pattern.

  11. Can I have video template with 2 or more different face patterns?
No. The freeware version only accept video template with one face pattern. However, we have plans to support video template with 2 or more different face patterns in later versions.

  12. I do not want any face nor background to superimpose on the first image of my video template. Or, I do not want any face nor background to superimpose on one of the image of my video template. How do do it?
You will need to add a thin border around that image. OurQFace software will skip any image with a border around it. Hence, no face nor background will be superimposed on such images.

  13. How to make sure the created video images are played according to the beat of the music? Or, how to change the frame rate of the created video?
The frame rate of your created video is the same as the frame rate of the video template. This frame rate can only be changed when re-creating the video template (say using our
Video Template Editor). When you create the video template, adjust the frame rate according to the beat of the music you want to use.

  14. How to make sure the music start playing only after the first 5 second of information?
For best result, when you record your music using an audio or sound recorder (or audio or sound recording software), start playing the music for recording only after 5 second of silence. Or, you can use the [Options] button to delay the playing of the music by 5 second in the created video file. However, this method may not give the best result. A better way is to use a
sound editor to insert 5 second of silence to your music.
